Oxfam America Advocacy Fund

Two days from now, the Senate will vote on whether or not to make major cuts to foreign aid funding. It’s the end of the road – and the world’s most vulnerable communities hang in the balance.

Proposed cuts will cost lives, and speaking up will take less than two minutes.

In just 2 minutes, you can:

  • Call the White House switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and say “My name is XXX, and I’m calling from “City, State. I’d like to be connected with my Senator."

  • Introduce yourself to the staff member who answers, and tell him/her you are a constituent and a supporter of Oxfam America

  • Tell the staff member that you recognize that Congress is making tough budget decisions right now.

  • Then let the staffer know that you'd like to urge your Senator to oppose cuts to foreign aid in the 2011 budget. This lifesaving funding is vital in serving the world’s most vulnerable people.

Please report your call to us!

Alongside thousands of supporters of organizations like Mercy Corps, ONE and Catholic Relief Services, your voice will be heard, and counted.
